Maulana Saeed Ahmed Jalalpuri of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat assassinated in Karachi

Mawlana Saeed Ahmed Jalalpuri, may Allah have mercy on his soul, have been assassinated along with his 11 years old son, and 2 associates in Karachi, Pakistan late yesterday. Mawlana Jalalpuri was on his way to the Masjid to give his regular Khutbah (sermon) in the evening of Thursday, where gunmen opened fire. Mawlana passed away on the spot, while others were reported to be dead at the Hospital.

Mawlana Saeed Ahmed Jalalpuri was the head of the Almi Majlis Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat (eng. International Organization in Defense of the Finality of the Prophethood). His role as the leader of AMKN was very important concerning the role AMKN aims to achieve: 

“Its sole aim has been and is to unite all the Muslims of the world, to safeguard the sanctity of Prophethood and the finality of Prophethood and to refute the repudiates of the belief in the finality of Prophethood of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H)” 

Mawlana Jalalpuri is the third assassinated leader of AMKN now after, Mawlana Yusuf Ludhianvi and Mawlana Mufti Jameel Shaheed. All three of them were assassinated by “gunmen on bikes” when they were the heads of AMKN. 

What AMKN has achieved?

AMTKN is a missionary group with a particular aim and that is to defend the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad and in particular his finality of the Prophethood. AMTKN was very successful at organizing the Pakistani Ulema (scholars) and the public in the case of decades long fighting with Qadianism (what I wrote about Qadianism). AMKTN was able to bring various muslim religious, social and political groups together to declare Qadianis outside the fold of Islam into the minority in Pakistan and barred them from using islamic terminologies for their movement. The AMKTN movement followed the Qadianism (Mawlana Mawdudi’s statement regarding Qadianism ) and did same in declaring Qadianis non-muslims in South Africa. It has done the same for Ahmadis and Lahoris (2 main sects of Mirza Qadiani).

Mawlana Jalalpuri was presently leading a campaign against the very popular Pakistani Public speaker and an independent “security analyst” Syed Zaid Zaman Hamid. Mawlana Jalalpuri had just recently challenged Zaid Zaman Hamid to a public debate of his chosen location, with full media attention in order to address his connection with the Yusuf Ali Kazzab, who was sentenced to death by the Pakistani Lahore Session court. Yusuf Ali Kazzab was sentenced to death for declaring his false prophethood, calling himself that he was the Muhammad “Anna Muhammad” and for associating and equating his congregation and Mosque to the sanctity of the congregation of the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet Muhammad) and the Masjid Al Haram (Holy Ka’aba-Black Cube). Yusuf Ali Kazzab was killed in jail before he could be hanged by the government.  

The association of Zaid Zaman Hamid with the Yusuf Kazzab is undeniable, as Zaid Zaman Hamid himself has admitted to it (after skipping the question regarding his connections or rejecting the association for many years in public!). In the video he told the students not to upload this video online and keep it for later when he tells them (students) to do so since he didn’t want any conflict with the “fasadi mullahs.” Since his connections with Yusuf Kazzab was evident, AMTKN’s Late head Mawlana Jalalpuri asked Zaid Hamid 3 things. [1] Condemn Yusuf Ali publicly. Call him a Kazzab (liar) and curse him to hell. [2] Publicy bear witness that Muhammad is the Last Prophet and there will be no on after him. [3] Ask forgiveness from God if he had connections with Yusuf Ali Kazzab knowingly or unknowingly.  

When Zaid Hamid refused to condemn Yusuf Ali Kazzab and infact went on defending him in public (as evident in the videos) Mawlana Jalalpuri wrote further articles regarding this issue with an open challenge to debate in public. His one of the last ones was: “Poori Pakistani Baradari Jhooti Ya Akela Zaid Zaman Hamid?” [Entire Pakistani brotherhood liar or alone Zaid Zaman Hamid?] By Moulana Saeed Ahmed Jalalpuri. 

Since Mawlana Jalalpuri has been assassinated, and most probably no one will ever get indicted for this crime (as has been the case with 2 perious assassinations fo AMTKN’s leaders). It remains to be seen how the new head will lead Almi Majlis Tahafuz-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat especially in this regards.  

There are people associating this assassination with Zaid Hamid. Although it is proven that he is defending the Kazzab and committing a grave sin, and if this issue continues, he might end up in the Pakistani court and get indicted to death just like his mentor Yusuf Ali Kazzab, however, at this moment there is no evidence as to who ordered the hit and whether Zaid Zaman Hamid is involved or not.  

Brief History of A.M.Tahafuz-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat

AMTKN was established as an organization by Syed Ataullah Shah Bukhari, an Indian Scholar who lived his whole adult life on train traveling, going village after village, giving speeches, resisting the missionaries of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani. After the independence of Pakistan, Syed A. Shah Bukhari established AMTKN with the goal of defending the honor of Prophet Muhammad through missionary activism worldwide and produced speakers and scholars for this purpose.  

2nd Volume of the 7 Volume collection of Mawlana Yusuf Ludhianvi's Fatawa published in Weekly Friday section of Daily Jang.

Late Mawlana Yusuf Ludhianvi was the chain of this movement, and he was also a recognized religious authority in Pakistan. His “Aap ke Masail aur un ka hal” “your problems and their solutions” section would come in the religious sections of the Friday Papers along with the most popular Urdu newspaper in Karachi, Jang. He would answer everyday problems and questions of the people (submitted via mail) in the light of Islamic Sharia. The day when he was assassinated people were worried that this section will get closed, for it was very beneficial to millions and millions of Newspaper readers in Karachi. Mawlana Mufti Jameel continued this section and the movement to defend the honor the Prophet Muhammad from false prophets, religion abusers and saved the faith of many ignorant masses especially in the rural areas, where people can’t read or write, where they only rely on religious guidance based on what a speaker has to say. Mawlana Ludhianvi’s section got published into a 7 Volume Book. 

Mawlana Saeed Jalalpuri was the student of Mufti Jameel, who was the student of Mawlana Ludhianvi. It is a sad, May Allah have mercy on Mawlana Jalalpuri for leading one of the most respected activist Ulema organization. Pakistanis will be in debt to him for his services.
